Recent college graduates in and around the Utah capital – one of the fastest-growing U.S, cities - flocked to technology as the region has seen a whopping 91 percent jump in the number of technology degrees awarded from 2011 to 2015. And the number of tech jobs grew an even higher 45 percent from 2011 to 2016, pushing up wages 13 percent, on average, to an average annual salary of $82,803, based on federal data CBRE used.
